The original center hood piece was bent likely from something falling on the tractor. The replacement shows the support has been pushed down.

The rear of the battery tray can be seen to be bent down. I'm not sure I could make it perfect so the easiest option is to make a couple of spacers to prop it up to the correct height.

The replacement hood panels are on for a test fit they will get bead blasted and painted. They are quite nice and should only need a bit of tweaking and adjustment.

After a bit of attention and prep the hood panels are drying in the outdoor paintbooth.

The hood panels are ready for decals

The air cleaner cap really showed how bad it was with the newly painted hood. I had a box of assorted caps and things from a sale that happened to have a very nice replacement.

Original factory photos show the air cleaner stack and cap were silver, and it does look nice painted that way.

Once the seat is on this could be the view from it.

The engine surged quite a bit, I looked for a hole to attach the anti-surge spring but there was no hole.

Looking at the spring on my CA the hole should be right where the welded area was, I drilled the hole right beside that.

The spring attached from that hole to the manifold stud behind the front intake port stopped the surging.

We had to get a better governor shaft because the gear that drives the distributor was very loose on the shaft, the governor weights were worn and quite sloppy too. The driven gear and shaft in the distributor were also loose. The housing that held the distributor had an ear broken off. It was decided to get replacements for these things and rebuild those rather than working with such worn gears and shafts. The rebuild was done at Agrimson Tool Company.

Now with a Tach cable attached all the gauges work. One can see the alternator is not working and shows discharge with the lights on.
